In 1976, Mr. Bharat Mehta embarked on his entrepreneurial journey by founding a printing business, leveraging his strong background in science. He established a company named Atul Glass Bottle & Trading, which pioneered the development of pharmaceutical glass bottles for medicinal packaging. Under his leadership, the company became one of the first to specialize in this niche market, marking a significant milestone in the industry.
The year 1978 we came into a partnership firm and introduced J.H MEHTA & BROS as a conglomerate and until early 1990’s we grew dominantly in the trading business for glass bottles as demand increased while Gujarat & surrounding became the hub of pharmaceuticals (manufacturing).We were the sole distributors for Hindustan National Glass at that time across western India, and our dealership made us the only suppliers in Gujarat.
As time went by, and newer aspects developed in the packaging field, we diversified into all kinds of packaging material. We started manufacturing Bopp tapes / Rubber Vials for injectables. Started trading products such as PVC/ FOIL/ PAPER etc. Analyzing how the market had been changing in the year 1992 we started a printing press in the name of FOIL PRINTERS LTD. for blister packaging for tablet/capsules in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
After gaining experience over 20 years in the field of Primary & Secondary packaging material, we expanded into the Middle East being one of the first Rotogravure printers in the UAE. In dubai the year 1996 we started our printing press in the name Packart Industries FZCO in Jebel Ali Freezone where we catered to pharma companies with blister foil, pvc, Bopp tapes etc & also to Cigarette manufacturing companies.
The industrial boom during early 2000’s, dubai became an integral center for export business,we established ourselves and started supplying packaging material across Middle East & North African countries such as Pakistan, Qatar, Syria, Iran , Iraq, Jordan, Kenya etc.
